Zen Tea Bar Review
Today I am so excited to be sharing my Zen Tea Bar review! I am absolutely in love with subscription boxes. I have tried a good number of subscriptions over the years ranging anywhere between cosmetics and healthy snacks. But this time around, I decided that Zen Tea Bar is the subscription box to try next. Zen Tea Bar is a company that was developed through the experiences within the tea world by Kelly, the creator. Throughout each subscription box, zen is presented in many ways, and as a self-proclaimed yogi, I appreciate that.
I initially started by just simply searching around for a tea subscription box. While I have heard of many different brands and seen some fellow bloggers review of some, I have never heard of Zen Tea Bar. When I came across this specific brand, I immediately gravitated towards it. . It was intriguing to see a tea subscription box that had a theme other than tea. All I saw was zen and tea, and knew that it screamed Tautiauna. As I read up on the product, I figured I would give it a try. I mean it’s only $10 a month for more than 1 item, so I had nothing really to lose. So I placed my order in excitement.
I placed my order on Tuesday, and received my Zen Tea Bar box on Monday…well if that isn’t quick shipping then I don’t know what is. If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw my excitement for this lovely box. As soon as you pick up the package, you can immediately smell an earthy, medicinal scent seeping through the cracks. It fit perfectly with the picture symbolizing the mediation practice of the lotus position. I must admit, I was a little nervous by the scent. I was scared that I would open the box and find just a bunch of random medicinal herbs (This happened to me with a health snack box- a bunch of random, homemade granola.) To my surprise, I opened the box to a variety of “presents.”
Zen Tea Bar Subscription Box
The first box you receive from Zen Tea Bar is always the same. They call it the blooming box where it boasts a tea blend for each season, some starter tea accessories; and, an array of information about the company, tea culture, and zen culture. Have you ever received a product from a subscription box and found that it wasn’t reachable unless you went through that specific subscription company? I have, and it isn’t the best feeling. So I was so excited to see that each blend of tea is a brand name that can be researched and found in other ways. I was also excited to receive accessories like reusable filter bags, a tea spoon and a steeping chart. This shows that the company is truly trying to present an experience that is available to all levels of tea drinkers. While everything about Zen Tea Bar subscription box is amazing, the only thing I wish was that it was slightly customizable. I know, I know, that takes away the fun of a subscription box. While this box presents variety based off of the time of year, I am hopeful that after some time, I will be able to at least rate each blend presented through my profile. Overall, Zen Tea Bar is a subscription box that is going to stay with me for a long time.
Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Review
So, here I am going through my Zen Tea Bar review, while sipping on a cup of tea from the box. Ya’ll probably don’t know because we haven’t had fall together. But if you do know me from my personal channels, then you know that I LOVE pumpkin! I love pumpkin all year round, my signature dessert has pumpkin in it, I have a whole pumpkin Pinterest board and everything. Ya’ll… my first box came with Pumpkin Spice Chai tea from Art of Tea! So of course that is the first tea that I pop open. And because I love it so much, I just can’t wait until the fall to share it with you all.
First off, this tea came in the cutest packaging.I know I am not the only one that finds it hard to organize a bunch of large, cylinder containers. Thankfully, this one came in a small, rectangular tin. Perfect organizing size! As soon as you pop open your petite container, I instantly got a blast of cinnamon with a bright, creamy undertone. After embracing this teas beautiful scent, I get to steeping. As time went on, this Pumpkin Spice Chai displayed a beautiful golden amber color that is memorizing. As I take my first sip, I immediately think of one of my favorite teas, Harney and Sons Pumpkin Spice Rooibos tea. This Pumpkin Spice Chai has a natural sweetness to it that reminds me of a rooibos tea; while also presenting a perfect balance of spice and creaminess. As much as i love pumpkin spice and chai, I just can not learn to appreciate an overly spicy tea blend. Thankfully Art of Tea found a perfect balance for this pumpkin spice chai. And for this to be a full black tea, it still does not have an overly deep body. I can see this being a perfect tea blend to sip on a calm Sunday morning paired with a yummy coffee cake or donuts.
P.S. This tea goes great with my Sour Cream Maple- Orange Coffee Cake recipe. Check it out here!
